Welcome to the
Hillsborough Sportfishing Club
The Hillsborough Sportfishing Club (HSFC) consists of a diverse group of men, women, young adults, and kids who share the adventure of sportfishing. More than that, we like to help people learn how to fish and enjoy the sport at a reasonable cost. We do this through education, fishing trips, and partnering with private business and non-profit organizations to sponsor fundraising events for charitable organizations. We have fun doing what we do please come join us.

The Club is organizing an offshore fishing trip from Hatteras on Saturday, Oct. 22. This is a good time of year to catch some nice wahoo, tuna, and sail fish. Please contact Terry Rose for information about the trip and to arrange for a boat. Terry’s number is (919) 667-3508; email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
The 2016 NC Offshore Challenge Tournament was held Friday, May 20th through Sunday, May 22nd. We ran the tournament out of Atlantic Beach and Wanchese / Oregon Inlet. Inspite of the bad weather and no boats fishing offshore on Saturday, the tournament was a big success and lots of mahi mahi and some tuna were caught on Sunday. We will post the results of the tournament here soon. We give a special thanks to all of our Sponsors, Donors, and Volunteers who made this event possible this year. And a special thank you to all of the veterans and their families who participated in the tournament. We appreciate what you do for our country very much.
Last year’s NC Offshore Challenge Tournament exceeded expectations on many fronts. We are proud to report that the event raised funds to pay for a day of fishing for 174 disabled veterans on Saturday, May 16. Thank you to the Wounded Warrior Project, the National Wild Turkey Federation, our Sponsors, Private Donors and Volunteers for making this possible. See our Tournament page for the tournament winners and pictures of the weekend’s events.
